Know Him, Love Him, Share Him
Know Him... Encouragement from John and Brenda. Thought for your journey:
Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Love Him...
No Pint Size Pulpit This Week
In Stormie O’Martin’s book “Just Enough Light for the Step I’m On” there is a chapter entitled “Seeing What’s Right with This Picture” I would like to take this opportunity to tell you what I see is Right with the Picture Here at Laurelwood. In doing this I am taking the risk of someone telling me what is wrong with this article, like why is so and so name not mentioned. You know I might not have seen them but God did and you did so please take the opportunity to tell so and so that you appreciate what they are doing. Have you noticed the kitchen floor this morning? If not take a look. It now sparkles thanks to Fred Boyle and Ralph Harris giving up their Saturday to strip and wax it. How could you not have heard about VBS. Without the Oden’s organizing this it would not be happening. They have recruited many worker bees like Benja who is doing an awesome job overseeing and designing the jungle scene. Adam & Ed who cut the signs. The people who are taking things home to trace and cut out. The Wednesday night kid’s class for making vines and many more. Have you ever seen Jesus reflected in someone? I did this week. Someone I know gave up their time and money to reach out to someone who does not know Jesus as their personal savior. In doing this they were an example to me of what being a Christian is all about. I challenge us this week to look around and see what is right with this picture and let someone know you appreciate them.
Let someone know you appreciate them
In Him, Brenda.
Share Him... There will be a tracing/cutting party this Wednesday for our upcoming VBS. It will be at Helen’s house or at the church building depending on how many can make it. Please let Helen know if you can come. It will start in the morning and go till the afternoon. If you can't make it, Benja will also be handing out things that you can take home and cut-out.
Serve Him... There will be a decorating/cutting work day this Wednesday May 14 for our upcoming VBS. It will be either here at my house or at the church building depending on how many can make it. Please let me know if you can make it. We will start in the morning and go till the afternoon. If you can't make it, Benja will also be handing out things that you can take home and cut-out.
