Call to Worship
Sing praises to God, sing praises! For God is king of all the earth; God reigns over all the nations. He is highly exalted, and worthy to be praised. Amen.
Scripture verse/theme verse. Philippians 3:7-14
Announcements
Manatawny If you don’t know that name you need to. It is the name of the Christian camp that many of our youth (and adults) go to over the year. It is a great time of inspiration and enjoyment. If you have not done so make plans to send your kids. See the schedule on the bulletin board.
All in the Family
We have a new water cooler. However we do not have the child safety knobs. Most of the kids figure out the knobs before the adults, but the issue is that these can be lock on and we would end up with a flood. Please monitor your children. Thank you.
A BIG thanks to everyone who brought in cookies. If you would like your containers back please pick them up from the blue foyer table.
Next time you are out why not pick up some snacks that can be given to the kids during children’s worship and Wednesday night. Thanks
Please make sure to check your information on the new phone list to see if it is correct. If it’s correct place a CHECK by your name, if not make the corrections. Thanks

Know Him, Love Him, Share Him
Know Him...
Encouragement from John and Brenda. Thought for your journey:
It was Augustine (354-430) who long ago challenged people to live by this irritating truth: "Before God can deliver us, we must first undeceive ourselves."
Love Him...
Pint Size Pulpit
Eureka: used to express triumph upon discovering something – I have it! The Bible shows the way to Trust – Eureka! The Bible shows the way to Love – Eureka! The Bible shows the way to Pray – Eureka! The Bible shows the way to Jesus – Eureka! The Bible is the Map and Jesus is the Treasure. These were just some of the great truths that we learned this week at VBS. Wow what a packed full week of fun and excitement. Can you believe it is over? I am tired and encouraged at the same time. It’s been a long time since we had a VBS, the last time is when Brenda visited her sister. The VBS week and Laurelwood (along with some other things) impacted Brenda so much she decided to move to New Jersey. That was the first time I formally met
Honor
Brenda . . . Eureka! Good things for me came out of that VBS. . . So why did we wait so long? Good things have already come out of this VBS and I expect that we will realize more as time passes. It was great to have the teens up this past week, they were a shot of energy, excitement, and encouragement. I truly hope you were able to gain from the experience. In closing I know many contributed to this VBS, some we saw and some others only God will know, But I want to mention Daniel and Helen Oden. Without their vision, initiative, hard work and dedication this VBS would not have develop and gone as well as it did. Honor where Honor is do! Daniel and Helen thank you for being part of Laurelwood and blessing our lives. I am glad you are part of this family!
With Love, John
